Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty visited Cobram today to listen to how the Murray Darling Basin Plan has impacted communities.

Mr Quilty has long been a critic of the plan, calling it a “disaster” which has been destroying the Murray River, and today’s visit only reaffirmed his opinion.

Tim Quilty welcomes prospect of reopening of NSW border on November 23

Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has welcomed the announcement that the NSW border closure will end on November 23, hopefully bringing to a close a costly period in Victorian-NSW history.

Mr Quilty said the announcement by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian of free movement into NSW will come as a great relief to border residents and businesses, as well as Victorian businesses who have struggled by being outside the border bubble.

Tim Quilty presents petition to Parliament supporting hospitality industry

Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has backed a petition asking the Andrews Government to let restaurants and cafes open up fully.

Mr Quilty sponsored an electronic petition presented to Parliament yesterday, which argues the hospitality industry is not a risk to COVID-19 management.

In-person classes have been on hold since restrictions were first imposed in March and many dance schools have struggled to survive.

Tim Quilty says passing of Omnibus Bill is another nail in freedom’s coffin

Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty spoke this morning after the Andrews Government’s Omnibus Bill successfully passed through the Upper House at 2am.

Premier is teasing regional Victorians with prospect of eased restrictions
