Leave students out of lockdown, says Tim Quilty
Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has called on the Victorian Government to leave regional students out of lockdown rules.
Mr Quilty says the seven-day lockdown is causing major damage to students’ education and wellbeing with no justification whatsoever.

Tim Quilty says his private members bill would limit lockdown nonsense
Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty says a private members bill he has introduced in Parliament would make the Victorian Government think twice before overreacting with snap lockdowns.
Mr Quilty introduced the Emergency Powers Safeguard Legislation Amendment Bill 2021 earlier this month which would place limits on how the Government uses its emergency powers.

Budget will put brakes on Victoria's economic recovery
Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has condemned the Victorian Budget, calling it “a grab for cash by a desperate Treasurer”.
Mr Quilty said he was “incredulous” when he learned of the Treasurer’s plans to increase a raft of taxes on businesses and property owners, in a bid to rebalance the Government’s ledger.

Tim Quilty asks Parliament to cut the Job Tax
Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has called for a cut to the Job Tax which would put more money into wage earners’ pockets as well as create more jobs.
Mr Quilty today moved a motion to cut payroll tax, a levy which employers pay when giving people jobs, but which ultimately costs employees.

Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has demanded the Victorian Government explain why the Mansfield community is being put at risk through lack of ambulance services.
Mr Quilty asked the Andrews Government why the town is so understaffed that paramedics have taken and risk and voiced their fears publicly.

Parliament sitting in Bright was a nice day out but nothing will change
Liberal Democrats Member for Northern Victoria Tim Quilty has challenged the Victorian Government to commit to the regions following a special sitting in the Victorian Alps.
The Legislative Council held a one-day sitting in Bright on Thursday, April 29, during which it conducted normal parliamentary business following speeches by Alpine Shire Mayor John Forsyth and Bright P-12 College student Claire Lock.
